What is a better life?

Try to find something interesting, to find a reason to be happy. Yet where is happiness? Everything is on clock. I hate everything around. I don't know what is wrong with myself. Maybe I attach too much importance on the sense of life and do not want to join the swirl of deterioration. 

 

 

Many people ask me why I choose Sophie as my Englishname. Well, it is no big thing. I donot like to change the name. But is pushed to give one when was a freshman at college. I had since Middle School but do not like to use. When at college, the foreign professor, an old guy with strong accent, asked us to give an English name to him. I just pick Sophia. Then I try to make it simpler to pronounce in both English and French, thus changing it into Sophie. It is, for me, an appellation convenient for the foreign friends to call me because my name in Chinese is quite hard for them to say. But nearly every one of my foreign friends ask me whether I know the connotation of the name or why I choose this name. Well, it is because of the simplicity. I like to be simple. Live a simple life. The simpler, the better I can stay.Maybe they say that Sophie repesents some kind of wisdom. I'd rather it is just the opposite as myself is such a fool that I'd rather stay silly like this and to have everything simple/

 

But in fact, people around are trying to make things complicated. You have to go around a large circle before make sth. done. why we stop being frank? what makes us alien from each other? It is confusing that the progress of technology leads to the indifference between one another. It is true. We chat online with or without the true self, anyway, happily. But we are not easy to say hello to the neighbours/ The high tec in wars enable soldiers to be faraway from agony. They needn't to face death and blood in person. Things are all over after a blast from their tank. Soldiers are ignorant to what they have done. Indifference. It begins to erode people's kindness. Games with violence are popular all over the world. All are leading us consciously or unconsciously to be selfish and indifferent. I remember that someone once said,'If you can not change the world, stop trying. Be yourself.' I am nobody. I can just try to be myself.
